Nikka Coffee MALT Japanese Whisky

Product Description  : The 1^st Nikka Whisky was launched in year 1940. Nikka is a short for “Nippon Kaju” with the 1^st distillery in Yoichi which has similar climate as in Scotland. The pioneer behind this was Masataka Taketsuru who went to Scotland to learn the art of distilling grain whisky. The Coffey is the world’s first patented continuous still invented by Aeneas Coffey in 1830 which are difficult to operate and not that efficient to obtain spirit. However they retain flavour originating from ingredients and delivery a distinctive creamy texture to the whisky. Nikka Coffey MALT was developed in 2013 as a result of continuous experiments by Nikka to widen the choice for its consumers. Predominantly made from 100% malted barley, and is distilled in Coffey Still and is matured in old cask to enhance the rich maltiness, complexity and a silky texture.
