Lake Chalice Marlborough The Nest

About The Nest:

The nest is a safe, comfortable environment where the bird will lay and incubate its eggs and raise its young.

Careful selection of what materials will be utilised to construct such a thing as well as site selection are imperative to the successful outcome of the small bird hatching, feeding and ultimately flying away.

The nest is the starting point for the young and a place to visit for its elders.

Based on this concept, The Nest range of wines were created in 1989 utilising careful selection of vineyards from sites across Marlborough. The wines offer the renowned Marlborough wine experience with expressive flavours and an approachable style. For some, this is where they will start their love of Lake Chalice, as these wines are readily available and affordable.

About The Falcon Vineyard:

The Falcon Vineyard was the foundation site for Lake Chalice Wines, situated in the heart of Marlborough’s Wairau Valley and on part of an old river course. Vines must be carefully coaxed and nurtured to grow on its stony, sandy soils. Harvest yields are low, but the return is intensely flavoured fruit.
