Auchentoshan 12 years Three Woods Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Product Description  : How to spell the name. The correct way to spell it is “OCK-UN-TOSH-UN”. This is the only single malt which is triple distilled. The malted barley is used to make the fermentation which is then triple distilled. Auchentoshan Three Woods derives it name as it is matured in 3 different casks. It is first matured in American Cask, then in Oloroso Cask and finally in Pedro Ximenez Sherry Casks giving this scotch a  rich, complex whisky with toffee and sherry flavours. A rich golden colour is due to the Single Malt matures in the quality bourbon and sherry barrels, a new and complex colour and flavour profile is created over time. The aroma you get is of Blackcurrant, brown sugar, orange, plum and raisin. The taste is a bit fruity and syrupy combined with Hazelnut, hints of cinnamon and lemon.  A butterscotch sweetness adds to the overall complexity.
