Balvenie 12 years Double Wood Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Product Description  : The Balvenie is a range of single malt whiskies crafted by Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE. Each expression is unique, but all are rich, luxuriously smooth and underpinned by a distinctive honeyed character. Balvenie Double Wood was launched in 1993 using a process known as wood finishing. The Balvenie Double Wood is made by using a whisky that has traditionally spent 12 years in American Oak (ex-Bourbon barrels) and later moving it for more 9 months in Spanish Oloroso Cask. The whisky is then moved into large oak vessels for 3-4 months to allow them whisky from each individual cask to marry. The aroma of Balvenie Doublewood is sweet fruit and Oloroso Sherry notes with honey and vanilla. The taste is smooth and mellow with a beautifully combined flavours of nutty sweetness, cinnamon spices, and a delicate layer of sherry.
